Wasteland Hazards (1-16)
- Electromagnetic Storm – A powerful storm that scrambles electronics and disorients navigation. Visibility drops to near-zero.
- Mutant Pack – A group of mutated creatures, perhaps wolves with extra limbs or bears with glowing eyes, that hunt in packs.
- Radiation Zone – A hot zone where radiation levels spike dangerously. Geiger counters click ominously, and protective gear is essential.
- Toxic Fog – A dense, corrosive fog that rolls in suddenly, burning exposed skin and lungs. Masks and quick thinking are required.
- Quicksand Pit – What looks like solid ground is actually a hidden pit of quicksand. Struggling will only pull victims in faster.
- Mirage – A deceptive, shimmering vision of water or shelter in the distance, leading travelers off course and into danger.
- Sandstorm – A fierce sandstorm that can strip skin and grind metal. Finding shelter is essential to survive.
- Tremors – The ground shakes violently, opening fissures and causing landslides. The epicenter is dangerously close.
- Flash Flood – A sudden, powerful flood that sweeps away anything in its path, turning dry land into a deadly river.
- Feral Beast – A large, mutated animal, more aggressive and territorial than its normal counterparts, lurks nearby.
- Lightning Strike – A sudden lightning storm, with bolts striking close by, setting fire to dry vegetation and endangering anything metal.
- Bandit Ambush – A group of well-organized bandits lies in wait, ready to rob or kill travelers for supplies.
- Geyser of Toxic Gas – A geyser suddenly erupts, spewing noxious gas that chokes and blinds, forcing a rapid retreat.
- Acid Rain – A downpour of acidic rain that burns skin, corrodes metal, and poisons water supplies.
- Earthquake – A sudden quake opens chasms in the ground, toppling structures and creating dangerous landslides.
- Mutant Insect Swarm – A swarm of oversized, aggressive insects that can sting or bite, spreading disease or injecting venom.
